This article presents a systematic review of the literature on Urban Merchandise Distribution (UMD) in last mile logistics, using the PRISMA methodology and a bibliometric analysis based on statistical analysis of quality and quantity. Databases such as Scopus and Web of Science were searched, identifying trends, co-authorships and patterns over time. An annual growth in publications is highlighted, along with recurring keywords, influential authors and relevant journals in the field of urban deliveries. A classification taxonomy is proposed with ten different types of DUM performance indicators with three different evaluation methods and their field of application. This quantitative and qualitative analysis provides a solid basis for future research in urban logistics and goods distribution.
