This work was carried out under the deductive method and examined the specificities of hiring adolescents in Ecuadorian professional soccer, highlighting its relevance within society and emphasizing the importance of having a legal framework that provides them with future legal security. First, professional footballer contracts were studied in an exhaustive manner. Subsequently, the particular characteristics related to the contracts of adolescent players under the Ecuadorian framework were distinguished. There was also a review of the legislation, which makes it possible to verify that there are currently legal loopholes that lead to abuses regarding the requirements and rights applicable by professional football clubs within a contractual relationship; all under the concept of a special employment contract. Through the findings, the future that must be offered to adolescent football players in Ecuador is ratified under an objective legal framework that guarantees their rights and regulates their obligations.
