Constitutional Amendments in Ecuador: Flexibility in favor of Democracy.

Abstract

In this excerpt from the presentation, the general consultation coordinator, Karen Soledad Sichel Arciniega, analyzed the value of proposals for legal reforms within the framework of the popular consultation held on February 5th, 2023. The presentation discussed how the proposed reforms were developed and how they would function. The first and second questions of the consultation, regarding the autonomy of the Attorney General and extradition, were analyzed in greater depth.
